So I did a few quests and managed to get to level fifteen. At that point the dungeon finder came into perspective. The dungeon finder searches all servers and puts you with other people to form a party for a dungeon. One tank, one healer and three dps are what it finds. Being a pally and since I went with the healing portion of my talent tree I queued as heals.
The talent tree opens up at level ten and allows you to upgrade your character in certain ways. It also establishes whether you are a healer, a tank (one who is suppose to take damage) or what kind of DPS you are (dps stands for damage per second). Some World of Warcraft classes can only be DPS while others can only be heals or dps/tank or dps. A pally is versatile in that it can do all three.
Anyway I leveled very quickly to 16 and stopped there.
